Billing Terms & Conditions

1. Payment Terms for Ecommerce Purchases

All purchases made through the Barndominiums.com ecommerce platform require full payment at the time of checkout. This includes, but is not limited to, stock house plans, PDF construction sets, CAD files, downloadable products, and all other digital or licensed materials.

No plans or digital files will be released until full payment has been successfully processed and confirmed. By completing a purchase on our website, you acknowledge and agree to be bound by these billing terms.

2. Payment Terms for Invoiced Services

For services billed via invoice—such as plan modifications, redraws, design revisions, structural updates, or fully custom home plan services—payment in full is required before any work will begin.

Our modification and design teams will not initiate or continue work on any project until the invoiced amount has been paid in full. This policy ensures accuracy, scheduling consistency, and compliance with our internal production processes.

3. Accepted Forms of Payment

Barndominiums.com accepts multiple secure payment methods for your convenience:

  • All major credit and debit cards

  • Wire transfers

  • Certified money orders

  • Payments made through the Barndominiums.com ecommerce checkout are securely processed through Square credit card payment processing.

Personal checks and unverified payment methods are not accepted.

4. Incentives, Discounts & Promotional Offers

If Barndominiums.com advertises a special offer, incentive, or promotional discount, a unique coupon code will be provided.

To redeem the offer, the coupon code must be entered correctly on the checkout page during the purchase process.

  • Coupon codes cannot be applied retroactively.

  • Only one promotional code may be used per order unless otherwise stated.

  • Promotions may expire without notice.

5. Refund Policy for Purchased Plans

All plan purchases—stock plans, modified plans, CAD files, custom work, digital downloads, and any design-related services—are non-refundable.

Due to U.S. copyright protections under 17 U.S. Code §102(8) and the risk of unauthorized reproduction or distribution of digital architectural materials, no refunds, returns, exchanges, or credits can be issued under any circumstances once an order has been processed.

This policy applies to:

  • Stock plans

  • Custom plans

  • Partial or full plan modifications

  • CAD file purchases

  • Digital or printed plan sets

  • Any services initiated through online payment

Please contact us prior to placing your order if you have questions about plan suitability, dimensions, specifications, or required local modifications. We are happy to assist you before purchase to ensure you make an informed decision.

6. Customer Responsibility

By completing any purchase on Barndominiums.com, the customer acknowledges and agrees to:

  • Review all product descriptions before completing a purchase

  • Confirm plan compatibility with local building requirements before ordering

  • Understand that digital products cannot be returned or refunded

  • Accept full responsibility for verifying accuracy and suitability prior to purchase

7. Additional Terms & Future Adjustments

Barndominiums.com reserves the right to update, modify, or amend these Billing Terms & Conditions at any time. Updated terms will be posted on this website and will apply to all future transactions.

House Plan Copyright

House Plans are COPYRIGHTED! Viers Technology, LLC dba Barndominiums.com holds the copyrights to Barndominiums.com pre-designed floor plans on this website as well as any referral partner websites. Buyer is granted a one-time license to build the purchased home plan. Federal copyright laws protect the intellectual property of architects and home designers by giving copyright protection to house plans and home designs. The copyright laws prevent anyone from reproducing, reusing, or reselling the house plans or renderings without written permission from the copyright owner. Ignorance of the law is not a valid defense. Barndominiums.com will pursue legal action against any violation.

Plan Compliance & Local Codes

Barndominiums.com are architectural designers; we are not architects. All house plans on Barndominiums.com were designed to accommodate the local codes and requirements at the time and location the original house was designed. These may not fall directly in line with your local regulations. It is your responsibility to follow up with your local building department to ensure compliance is accomplished.

In addition to the house plans you order, many jurisdictions require a site plan that indicates where on the property the structure will be placed. You may need to consult an engineer for floor truss, joist, and beam specifications. Many areas now have area-specific energy codes that also must be followed to certain specifications.

Local Engineering Requirements

Some regions of the U.S. require additional engineering due to climate and risk factors (earthquakes, hurricanes, tornadoes, heavy snow). In these cases, you may need to hire a state-licensed structural engineer to review and approve the designs and potentially provide additional drawings and recalculations required by your building department.

Stock plans do not include a professional stamp. If your building department requires one, you must take the plans to a local engineer or architect licensed in your state. Nevada, for example, requires plans drawn by a licensed Nevada architect.

Indemnification

Customer hereby indemnifies and holds harmless Viers Technology, LLC dba Barndominiums.com, its principals, employees, and agents from any claim, loss, or liability resulting from the failure of the plans to comply with local zoning laws or regulations.
